Grand Hotel Amstelveen

An unexpected upgrade delight

Upon arrival, the staff quickly resolved my missing reservation with kindness, upgrading my room free of charge. The room was spacious, clean, and decorated with modern flair. Conveniently located right by the airport, it was the perfect...  

The hotel was beautiful designed and well priced in general, had knowledgeable staff who works at night shift. The venue's location was EASY, right by public transport into Amsterdam, airport and Amsterdam, and...  

The hotel was placed 0.5 miles away from the airport. Breakfast with a great coffee.

Cleanliness and attention to room facilities were commendable.

I was disappointed to find that the hotel was quite distant from the Amsterdam center. Taxis and Ubers each way were prohibitively expensive at 60-70 euros. The limited dining options in the area meant that I often found myself hungry or settling for fried snacks from the bar.

Big, clean rooms and lekker brekkie! Loved the made-to-order eggs and fresh bread rolls. The staff were super friendly and helpful, makes such a difference! Quiet area, perfect for a peaceful getaway after the busy city vibe....  

It was a great location for me as I was on business in Amstelveen.

Would have been nice to have a lunch/dinner restaurant in the building itself.

A very large and comfortable room. Reasonable breakfast.

It is not central to anything, is in fact on a busy road far out of town. really only suitable if you are driving. Attached restarant is overpriced. Although it is a four star hotel it has some strange quirks like having paper cups and powdered milk for your in room tea and coffee.

This hotel was a great match for a weekend adventure in Amstelveen with good value for the price. The rooms were generally clean and tidy. If you have a car, parking is convenient and easy to find nearby.

Breakfast is great! All the freshest and largest selection.

It's a long way to the city center.

Spacious rooms and great breakfast experience

I enjoyed the large twin room that featured both a bath and shower. The breakfast was definitely a highlight, with tasty options, including freshly prepared dishes. Free parking made my travels easier, but evening dining options could be improved as there were limited nearby choices.

Very nice staff in general, more than adequate breakfast, nice walking path directly across the street. The hotel was very full, but didn't hear any noise...seemedlike I was the only one there!

No little washcloths were provided in the bathroom.

The Junior Suite was spacious and very clean, which made our short stay comfortable. We appreciated the prompt upgrade at the front desk and the efficient check-in and check-out process. Although it was a bit of a walk to the tram station, the connections to Amsterdam were straightforward, making it convenient for our visit to the city.

We liked everything about staying there. comfort, convenience, location, staff at the desk. Would give all excellent marks except for one problem... see below

One room had a broken door.... The manager was not accomodating in any way. The desk staff was wonderful.
